This set includes our 12.5 inch British willow Treasure Basket of 53 sensory rich hand selected natural objects, many environmentally friendly and sourced from socially responsible centres working with adults with learning difficulties; the Sensac, a UK made activity, sensory and storage bag in fleece and 100% cotton; and two sets of 20 age-appropriate activity cards, designed to support children in developing their problem solving & numeracy skills through cooperation, interaction and play by participating in these inspiring and compelling activities that link to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, KS1 and 2. These set out multi-sensory activities, (many based on observations of children playing with the resources) and suggestions for varying and extending these to help make the games as child-led as possible. Use the fully lined Sensac as a Feely Bag to enrich the experience further by adding new levels of play and discovery. Also doubles up as a convenient and portable storage bag for the basket. The 2 sets of Problem Solving & Numeracy Activity Cards designed to be played with the Basket, further extend the use of this resource with older children, providing real flexibility and value for money. With many of the activities based on observations of children playing with a Treasure Basket it's not long before these adult-initiated activities become child-led. All our baskets are handmade in the UK using (part) organic willow. As nearly half of the 50 objects are handmade, every Treasure Basket is unique with items chosen for their sensory appeal, play value, curriculum links and 'wow' factor.
