Inclusion is a key theme running through all of our products and services. Although not designed exclusively for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) - because SENCO's told us they didn't want this - all of the Playscope products incorporate numerous features which make them ideal SEN resources. From the purple fleece - a great colour for children with autism; multi-coloured ribbons - perfect for children with visual impairments or those needing proprioceptive feedback to help them sit still and focus; the multi-sensory approach to activities - appealing to all learning styles; age appropriate nature of the resources, whatever the age; or fact that every Treasure Basket includes items actually made by adults with phyiscal or learning disabilities, inclusion lies at the heart of these resources. In 2008 our Playscope Complete Set, (a Treasure Basket, Sensac and sets of Activity Cards) and the Playscope Fidget Floor Mats made it to the finals of the nasen Inclusive Primary Resources Awards as among the best four inclusive resources in the UK!
