Testimonials

"Sue's experience and passion in children learning through play and sensory play environments were evident and all the staff benefitted from the professional training course in the use of treasure baskets led by Sue, herself. Sue was extremely helpful." - Nicole Bacon, Little Sponges Montessori

"Thank you so much for a great session. I have had lots of positive feedback from the team about how great you were and how much they learned. You should also know for your records that within 3 days, 7 bags of plastic toys had been taken out of one setting and replaced with wooden/natural equivalents or treasure from home. (the other setting is starting their clearout next week) Parents are thrilled and when we observed play, 2 children stayed at our active tray filled with flour and treasure items for 1 hour 50! Traditional junk modelling items without glue but a basket of treasure instead; entertained for 40 minutes per child on average and the language used is amazing; especially from 2 who have communication support.

The team have sent out a 'Going Back to Our Roots' Swap Shop invite to parents to take a plastic toy home but swap for a wooden toy or treasure basket items." - Lesley, Managing Director, Friends Day Nursery

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing the workshop. I know the feedback is excellent I will not get the official evaluations for a few more weeks but all those present have taken something away from it. I again enjoyed the workshop and hope to see more of you in the future…. What fun we all had! We all took away something new even me who obviously had seen your presentation before. I tell everyone I meet about loofah and how it grows! Inspirational, your enthusiasm and passion really shows.” - Jenny Belshaw, Childminding Matters

“Thank you so much for your advice and the hands on play with your great treasure basket. I just thought I'd give you some feedback - the Sensac has been a real hit with all three of my children! They are each playing with the things in slightly different ways but have all been playing together crowding round the basket and delving deeply - it was a joy to see. My eldest 7 years, quickly took on the role of custodian and has been interested in what everything is and their alternative uses. He has been inspired to start different collections and took a plastic bag on our walk yesterday to collect interesting leaves / conkers / feathers etc. The middle one 4 years, loves the little bags and placing as many objects in them as he can - he's the squirrel! The baby has just enjoyed being part of the action and exploring different objects. She has moved from the cork coaster to the little metal bucket and taking around the book. It's just the start of an amazing play experience for all of us -it just turns up the unexpected - like how interesting a cork coaster is! All this and we haven't started with the cards yet, so looking forward to those.“ - Parent of three children
