The Playscope range of Activity Cards, designed to compliment and extend the use of Treasure Baskets, has just been joined by the much awaited Stepping Out 8-20 month set. Perfect for extending sensory-rich play and building child/carer bonds, our latest set of Activity Cards is designed for babies and children developmentally aged 8-20 months, providing very simple but fun ways of playing with the Treasure Basket objects. For inclusivity the term ‘child’ instead of baby is used throughout. This recognises the value of these cards to children with SEN.
The set is an exceptional cross-curricular tool for extending play and learning in a fun and multi-sensory way. Linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, the cards set out a range of fun multi-sensory activities designed to delight children and practitioners, together with alternative suggestions for varying and extending play, allowing even very young children to actively participate and where possible to take the lead.
